Certified Specialist
I have been a Certified Specialist in Bankruptcy law since 1995. This requires passing a test on bankruptcy issues administered by the State Bar, a showing of experience in all areas of bankruptcy, including court hearings, cases filed, and specialized bankruptcy knowledge regarding consumer and small business issues. Finally, certification requires recommendations by Judges, Trustee's and other attorneys.
If you are choosing a bankruptcy attorney you should visit the state bar website which contains information regarding complaints and discipline on all attorneys. Be very careful about which attorney you choose and make sure the attorney has the experience, ability, and intention to help you and your family.
