Court Appearances
Both chapter 7 and Chapter 13 generally have one mandatory appearance (10-15 minutes) with the attorney present. Appearances are “information gathering” and are conducted by a court appointed Trustee.
CAN CREDITORS OR THE COURT OBJECT
Creditors or the Court can object to your bankruptcy if they can show 1) fraud; 2) misrepresentation; 3) missing material information; or 4) an improperly prepared petition.
